While doing my usual Ted Talks scan, I found this…Pivot. Pivot is a very unique tool for looking at large amounts of data. It takes information on the internet and puts them into a “collection.” Once in a collection, you can interact with this data in incredible new ways.  By clicking different buttons in pivot you can filter information into graphs and charts, while maintaining the ability to change at any time the filter and scale of your “pivot”. This might sound confusing, but check out the explanation at Pivot’s website. Oh yeah, and for all P.C users, it’s Beta version is free to download.
